If you are looking for or need a software firewall, there a few choices when it comes to freeware.

Comodo Firewall Pro is the best free firewall i have tested. I has a nice set of features, the interface is good and has options for averyone. I read also that it has passed some standard tests before so it can protect you against know network attacks.

Just today Nvidia has released a WHQL Candidate driver, which is almost a final version for WHQL instead of a plain beta. According the Nvidia, there are numerous fixes and changes, but mainly concerning SLI and Windows Vista x64 issues.

A new version of the Flash Player plugin is available. Here are the installers for IE and other browsers.

Another version that corrects some incompatibilities with websites and vector images that were introduced by the previous release.

It is somewhat unusual that mozilla is introducing bugs in new releases, but i think they will get it right when version 3 (currently in Beta) comes out.

Updated audio drivers. Version 1.82 is out. I really don’t like that Realtek doesn’t keep a good release history to see what’s new or changed. Anyway, here they are.

Here comes an update for the Catalyst drivers.

I havent tried this new version to see if there is something important to talk about. However, in the release notes  there are various applications and game issues that are fixed.

Here comes another update for Nvidia drivers. This version is final and has WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) certification which means that this drivers are signed and are approved by Microsoft.

However, the latest Beta version 169.04 is still recommended for Crysis Single-Player Demo and for TimeShift. If you have this games, use the latest Beta.
