ImgBurn is a lightweight CD / DVD / HD DVD / Blu-ray burning application, besides making and verifying disc images. If you burn a lot of disc images, there’s nothing better.

Its great for burning and making different kinds of disc images. It has several options to configure it just the way you want and it is very fast.

It has several modes, each one for performing a different task:

• Read – Read a disc to an image file.
• Build – Create an image file from files on your computer or network – or you can write the files directly to a disc.
• Write – Write an image file to a disc.
• Verify – Check a disc is 100% readable. Optionally, you can also have ImgBurn compare it against a given image file to ensure the actual data is correct.

Version 3.0.x now remember the window size and the columns but every time you run the program, it will still change the Modified Date column and will display an horizontal scrollbar, which is still annoying and totally unnecessary. Hopefully, the developers will fix that in upcoming versions.

Previous 2.x versions don’t have this problem. I will keep using those versions, but I will add a new installer without removing the last one.

This new 3.0 version has a new and improved interface. Sadly, and this is a thing that many developers seem to forget or not care, there is no way that the application can remember its own window size or the state of the columns in the details view.
