Fixes several important issues with HDTV episodes, Genius playlists and accessibility.

iTunes 8.0.0.35 was released today.

Apple added a feature that some may find interesting, Genius Music Suggestions. Also, there is a new Grid view and HD TV Shows.

Sadly, they keep releasing iTunes with QuickTime, MobileMe, Bonjour and Software Updater. I’m out of town but this weekend i will modify the original installer to get rid of that. I will add it to my custom installers as soon as i can.

As i wrote two weeks ago, i’m making these new iTunes switchless installers, taking up the job from Shark007 at MSFN Forums.

Today, i built the x64 versions, so now the set for version 7.7.1.11 is complete.

Download location will be the same as before.

As everyone knows, iTunes installs QuickTime, Bonjour service, Apple’s software updater, MobileMe support and other “goodies” that are not needed at all.

Shark007, the maker of Vista Codec Package and fellow member of MSFN released several modified versions of iTunes in the past that don’t install all this components, just plan and simple iTunes.

He asked MSFN member to continue this project because he doesn’t have the time to build them. I made this new versions using his transform files.

I just came across this tool when doing some reading on jailbreaking the iPhone 3G in Mac OS X.

WinPwn is supposed to unlock the iPhone 3G in Windos, so you can use it with any carrier or service provider. I don’t have an iPhone so i haven’t try it.

This tool is made with resources of iPhone Dev Team, the guys who unlocked the iPhone 3G in Mac OS X. This guys have a blog. You may want to read it.

Sev7en, a guy from Micropctalk.com managed to install Apple OS X into a Sony VAIO UX and posted the instructions about how he did it.

This is something more people are trying to achieve, get Mac OS X to run on generic Intel/AMD hardware.

There is another guy from jkOnTheRun.com that installed it on a Samsung Q1 Ultra Premium and posted about this experience.

Despite all the claims and statements made by Apple, that their Mac OS X will only run on Apple hardware, people are trying to circumvent TPM (Trusted Platform Module) in order to isntall it on generic hardware.

There is a new version of QuickTime Alternative.

It contains fixes for several vulnerability bugs found in the last version of Apple Quicktime.

Use QuickTime Alternative for playing videos and as a pluging for viewing streaming media in your favorite browser.

Say no to Apple’s invasive and bloated player.

There is another package called QT Lite. The only difference is that QT Lite doesn’t include Media Player Classic, a great multimedia player. I recommended it as a video player. Its light and has tons of features.
