iTunes 9.0.3.15 Switchless Installers
It took me more than a day to get things going with the server because I had problems uploading the files. As the saying goes: Better late than never.
Remember that you still need to install the latest QuickTime Alternative. Also needed is Mobile Device Support for iPhone, iPod Touch and Nano 5G (I wasn’t aware that the latter needed it).
Anyway, enjoy the new installers and regards.
iTunes 9.0.2.25 Switchless Installers
Here are the updated installers for iTunes 9.0.2.25.
Also, QuickTime Alternative 3.0.1 has been released.
I update other installers as well, so check them out.
WLM9 Switchless Installer 8064
My switchless installers for Windows Live Messenger were updated for version 14.0.8064.0206.
Remember that you need to install WLM9 Requisites first, no matter if you are installing English or Spanish versions.
A new version of A-Patch is already available too.
Custom Installers With Direct Downloads
Thanks to sp00f and MUIZ from MSFN Forums, that provided hosting for the files, i can now give you direct links to download my installers.
The new links are available in the Custom Installers page and i included a nice table with modification dates.
I will update that list when i add new installers or when an existing setup needs some kind of modification.
The customized iTunes installers will be listed there as well.
I hope you enjoy these new changes.
iTunes Without QuickTime
As everyone knows, iTunes installs QuickTime, Bonjour service, Apple’s software updater, MobileMe support and other “goodies” that are not needed at all.
Modifications: No Bonjour service, no iTunesHelper or iPodService at startup and no MobileMe support.
You can use it as usual without any worries. You can sync your player, update its firmware, listen to radio, etc.
As me and other members of MSFN Forum use them for unattended installations, they are switchless, meaning that when you double-click or execute the file, it will begin the installation without any other prompt. However, you will be able to see the current installation status.
All you need is QuickTime Alternative before installing this customized builds. The old QuickTime Alternaitve iTunes-addon is not needed anymore.
If you use iTunes in a network and it isn’t able to see other iTunes libraries you may need to manually install the Bonjour service. Also, you may need to install Mobile Device Support and Application Support in order to get all the feaures for your iPhone/iTouch. They can be extracted from the original iTunes installer with WinRAR or 7-Zip
For users like me with iPods, there is no need to install anything else.
The Multilanguage build supports all languages, except english. For this language use the English version.
