Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 2
Microsoft has just released Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2).
There is a large list that describes all the changes/fixes that were included on the service pack. You can read it here.
If you need to deploy it in your installations, you can use the Updates folder provided by Microsoft in the Office installation source. Just run the Service Pack 2 file with the /extract parameter and copy all the MSP files to the Updates folder.

When you install Office, this patches are automatically applied, so there is no need to install them separately.
Just remember to choose the appropriate language for your installation before downloading because this Service Pack is not language neutral.

Thanks for the post. I was just wondering if you knew if we’re supposed to leave the SP1 update in the updates folder as well, and add the SP2 files, or can I just delete the SP1 files, and put SP2 files there.
I have an office share that I run my installs from, but I don’t know if I can install SP2 on top of the standard (no SP) share without having it run the SP1 update first.
I guess what I’m asking, is it cumulative, or not?
Hi Ryan. They are cumulative.
You don’t need the SP1 files anymore.
Regards.
Hi Ajua
Should I have installed XP service pack 3 before installing office 2007 service pack 2?
My current OS is XP Professional SP2.
Regrads.
Hi. As far as i know, installing XP SP3 is not mandatory to install Office 2007 SP2.
Thank you in advance.
