Vista Codec Package was updated to version 4.7.3.

It doesn’t come with a media player, so you can use Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center or whatever you like. All codecs are set to default settings.

This handy freeware from Microsoft lets you make folder pairs to synchronize their contents.

They can be folders on different computers and you can have SyncToy to copy, move, delete and rename files based on what you want to do by setting options.

Defraggler is freeware defragmentation program.

It has been in Beta for a while but they have released Defraggler 1.02.085, which is a final version.

You can defragment individual files as well as entire hard drives.

The authors also write other excellent programs, CCleaner and Recuva.

As i wrote two weeks ago, i’m making these new iTunes switchless installers, taking up the job from Shark007 at MSFN Forums.

Today, i built the x64 versions, so now the set for version 7.7.1.11 is complete.

Download location will be the same as before.

IcoFX is a great icon editor for Windows. It is free and has many useful tools.

With it you can convert images to icons, icons to images, extract icons from files and more.

The author provides a portable version but it doesn’t get updated as soon as there is a new version, so please check the version when you download the ZIP file.

LameXP is a free audio converter which supports multi-threading encoding, which means that it can convert two files at once, saving you some time if you have a CPU with 2 or more cores.

For MP4/AAC encoding support you need to download the free Nero Digital Audio Encoder. Just download it and copy the EXE files to LameXP folder.

KeePass Password Safe 1.12 was released today.

This excellent application for storing passwords has numerous changes. One of the most important is the behavior of the groups folders, which now behave just like in Windows Explorer, so you can move the entire folder along with all the sub-folders.
