As everyone knows, iTunes installs QuickTime, Bonjour service, Apple’s software updater, MobileMe support and other “goodies” that are not needed at all.
Shark007, the maker of Vista Codec Package and fellow member of MSFN released several modified versions of iTunes in the past that don’t install all this components, just plan and simple iTunes.
He asked MSFN member to continue this project because he doesn’t have the time to build them. I made this new versions using his transform files.
Modifications: No Bonjour service, no iTunesHelper or iPodService at startup and no MobileMe support.
You can use it as usual without any worries. You can sync your player, update its firmware, listen to radio, etc.
As me and other members of MSFN Forum use them for unattended installations, they are switchless, meaning that when you double-click or execute the file, it will begin the installation without any other prompt. However, you will be able to see the current installation status.
All you need is QuickTime Alternative before installing this customized builds.
The Multilanguage build supports all languages, except english. For this language use the English version.
Latest version: 7.7.1.11

I would like to make my own build of iTunes with Shark’s transform files. Do you know how I can go about starting to do that?
Thank you!
First of all, you need InstallShield to apply them. Then, you have to know how to make admin installs if you want to repackage the files to an SFX archive like the ones i made (or Shark007 long before me).
For the files, you are welcome to read the thread at MSFN Forum.
