After making all the necessary backups and uploading the new version of WordPress to my server, the upgrade to 2.6 is complete.

The only thing that didn’t work as expected was the Maintenance Mode plugin. I had to manually disabled via FTP and then perform the upgrade in my web browser, as usual.
