Shift Linux, a Live-CD Distribution
Just recently, i began to learn how Windows PE 2.0 works to make my own installation media.
Today i found a live-cd distribution of linux made by the guys at Neowin. Having a live-cd, be it Linux or WinPE provides great flexibility when a system can’t boot.
Neowin’s Shift Linux is designed to give the user an experience of being part of the Neowin community as well as having a simple, easy-to-use Live CD. Shift is a free, GPL-based Linux distribution that can be freely distributed or modified. There are no restrictions with Shift.
Shift Linux comes with either Fluxbox, Gnome or KDE desktop managers, so it is up to you which version to download.
I’m downloading version 0.6 with KDE and Gnome as i write this. I’m going to try it soon.
