Well, it seems that someting went wrong with 169.02 releases. Now Nvidia shows on the drivers page a new version. It is marked now properly as Beta.
According to the release notes they added more compatibility for games and it is also recommended for those playing the crysis demo.

I just saw at FileForum that Nvidia has released a new set of drivers for both Vista and XP.
This drivers are WHQL Candidate as stated on Nvidia’s download page so i think they are not a Beta release.
The Download Drivers page at Nvidia’s website doesn’t show them either as Beta or Final but you can get them at the link below.
Maybe Nvidia didn’t rolled them out because they are waiting to get them WHQL certified but I’m trying them since the last beta released had some odd behavior on some games.

As i wrote before, it was my first time upgrading WordPress.
The experience couldn’t be more pleasant. In about 10 min i had all my files and the site updated with the new version.
Here is a short list of steps and notes of my upgrade.
Side notes:
I also tried one plugin called Maintenance Mode and it worked great. This plugin presents your users a message that your site is under maintenance and you will be back online after a given time in minutes. Just activate it and begin the uploading of files.
There is one plugin that makes backups but i haven’t had the time to try it.
For information about upgrading in the WordPress Codex read here.
I hope this helps other people to upgrade their WordPress blogs.

The process of upgrading this site to the latest version of WordPress went as easy as it seemed.
It was my first time upgrading but i didn’t encounter any issues so far so i hope all is working the way it should.
Tomorrow i will post a quick How-to for people like me doing first-time upgrades using WordPress.

WordPress 2.3.1 has been released. Version 2.3.1 fixes over twenty bugs, including one security ulnerability. If you want to read the details, Peter Westwood, a developer from WordPress has made a post explaining all the internals.
I will be backing up (as i always do and recommend) this site’s files and databases so i can test version 2.3.1 locally before going online.
I will post when i finish upgrading this site along with any other details/notes on how the upgrade went as this is the first time i will make a WordPress upgrade to my site.
If you own a WordPress blog, read the below link for instructions to make the upgrade.

Nvidia has just released a new set of beta drivers for both XP and Vista. The main change is that they recommend them for playing the Crysis Single Player demo. If you already have the demo, go get the new drivers and try them out.
I will look for the Crysis demo because i didn’t knew it was out already.
Remember that it is advised to uninstall previous installed drivers before installing the new ones. I have tested the Nvidia installers and they do a good work uninstalling previous versions and i haven’t had any issue so far.
If you come across errors or issues, try cleaning the drivers first using Guru3D Driver Sweeper before installing these new versions.

I have just released VistaTweaker 0.5 Beta. The file is already available for download in the download section of this site and i have made a version history page to track down changes and fixes.
If you find a bug, please report it to me so i can work on it as soon as i can to get it fixed.
A contact form is already available for you to send feedback, comments and suggestions.

Im just cleaning up the code a little bit before releasing it. There a lot of changes to talk about, but let me only say that it now remembers the tweaks that have been applied and can also “undo” the tweaks.
I will also release a setup file for U3 devices so everyone can take VistaTweaker for a ride!
Come back later to get both releases.
